From Sky Germany, as captured by @iMiaSanMia:
Former Leverkusen teammates Jonathan Tah and Granit Xhaka had a chat in the dressing room area after last night’s game. Xhaka was curious to know about Vincent Kompany, and asked Tah about the coach – the German defender had only praise for the Belgian, saying that Kompany was a top coach. Xhaka also wanted to know what Kompany was like on a personal level. Tah had nothing but positive things to say about him as well [@SkySportDE]

If there’s a hint of transfer intrigue…it is probably nothing. With Leon Goretzka departing, maybe there is in fact room for a veteran presence in the Bayern midfield next year. But Xhaka has a contract at Sunderland through 2028 and turns 34 next Fall. The former Arsenal man is not likely coming to the Bayern midfield anytime soon, or ever.
Nevertheless, it is clear that Kompany’s work at Bayern is turning heads — and the respect and curiosity it commands from other top players is notable.
