In Saturday’s ACC Action, NC State visits Notre Dame, Florida State heads up to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech, Louisville cruises over to Clemson, BC heads down to Miami, Pitt drops in on Cal on the West Coast swing, Syracuse checks in with Wake Forest, SMU gets Stanford, and Virginia Tech visits UNC.

Here’s what seems interesting to us.

Both State and Notre Dame have been erratic, but the Irish just got epically embarrassed by Duke. Will they respond to that? Will Jalen Haralson play?

Georgia Tech hasn’t won since January 17th. Our instinct is to pick the Yellow Jackets, but FSU has really improved dramatically. We’ll stick with the ‘Noles here, largely because Luke Loucks seems like a real rising star.

Louisville and Clemson is really, really interesting. Littlejohn is a nightmare place to visit, but lately, it’s seemed like the Land of the Misfit Toys, with the Tigers dropping four straight. Still, that team is capable of turning things around.

We just can’t see BC beating Miami on the road. The only chance they have of pulling that off is to keep the score extremely low and win in a slugfest. Just can’t see it.

It’s hard to see Pitt winning at Cal, either. Maybe if Cam Corhen goes nuts and Roman Siulepa erupts, but Cal is a solid, well-coached team. Seems a stretch for Pitt.

Wake Forest’s problem all year has been a lack of size inside. Syracuse has that and decent guard play. Wake could win this, especially if Juke Harris goes off, but we like the Orange here.

SMU and Stanford means an interesting point guard matchup as Boopie Miller and Ebuka Okorie square off. SMU has more overall talent, though. This one just seems like a toss-up. Okorie could put up 30-40 points on anyone.

Finally, Virginia Tech in Chapel Hill. The Hokies have talent, but are they ready for the Heels? They won’t have to deal with Caleb Wilson, but UNC is playing pretty well without him. It’s an interesting game, but we’ll take the Heels here.
