The Aggies announced via the men's basketball social media accounts that the weekend's contest against Florida will be a black-out game. Following a tough loss against Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Wednesday, another Quad 1 opportunity presents itself in the form of a depth-filled Gators squad, which has really found its identity in the last month. Florida's recent outing was a dominant 100-77 win over the Crimson Tide on Sunday in Gainesville.
Texas A&M boasts a 12-1 home record, with the team's sole loss coming against UCF at the beginning of the campaign. A successful outing against Florida could boost the Aggies into the top-25 and make a statement in the process. An integral key to defeating the Gators is defending the home court and packing out Reed Arena, which is what Texas A&M looks to do with the black out on Saturday night.

The Aggies have found their footing and established what exactly 'Bucky Ball' can do to the opposition when run correctly and consistently. Entering Wednesday's matchup against Alabama, Texas A&M ranked as the No. 3 scoring offense in the country with 91.8 points per game. The Gators rank No. 22 with 86.3 points scored per outing, which sets up another potential shootout for the Aggies, who dropped a 100-97 decision to the Tide.
Texas A&M was presented with many opportunities to exit T-Town with its eighth conference win of the year, but late foul trouble and some struggles at the free-throw line led to another close decision in the final minute of the game.
Head coach Bucky McMillan is looking to lead his team to their 18th win of the season, with just eight more games left after Florida, before postseason play officially begins. Texas A&M returns to College Station with the No. 1 spot in the league standings, but a loss to the Gators would put them above the Aggies.
